Managing Director, Mobile Practice Group (SF) - $150-175K + bonus
• Be able to pitch and win highly competitive new business opportunities.
• Retain and grow a mix of Mobile and Wireless clients including marquis brands and soughtafter start-ups.
• Thoroughly understand and study industry developments, key players strategies and develop deep industry knowledge.
• Ability to lead development of company and product positioning for clients.
• Be a respected counselor to CEOs at client companies, and liaise with the executive team and the BOD.
• Consistently forecast revenue, meet targets and work around unforeseen circumstances.
• Ensure billability targets are met by everybody within your practice group.
• Able to coach and mentor a director who is interested in growing his/her own practice group.
Managing Director, Consumer Practice Group (NYC) - $160-200K + bonus
• Manage consumer technology practice group and build/grow a portfolio of clients.
• Oversee team member in San Francisco and New York; manage individual team member's development, growth plans, reviews.
• Identify and secure New York office space and build out client's first east coast office, and recruit top personnel to achieve plans.
• Serve on company's leadership team and contribute to overall corporate strategy and direction.
• Be the client's face in New York. We need an all-star networker, media expert and someone who exudes the client's culture.
• SAbility to lead the development of company and product positioning for clients.
• Be a respected counselor to CEOs at client companies, and also liaise with the executive team and BOD.
• Active, hands-on participation in success of accounts, including media relations.
Senior Public Relations Director (NYC) - $100-120K
* Minimum 7-10 years publicity experience
* Agency experience preferred
* Excellent short-lead editor contacts (weekly magazines, national daily papers)
* Ability to pitch and coordinate national and regional broadcast segments and in-studio appearances
* Strong relationships with Fashion, Beauty, and Entertainment website editors
* Relationships with short lead regional newspapers in top markets including (but not limited to) NY, L.A., Chicago, Dallas, Miami and S.F.
* Experience in red carpet event coverage
* Assign, supervise, and manage the activities of the public relations account teams
* Help conceptualize, organize, and execute events
* Able to lead, encourage, mentor, and develop junior staff members
* Effective organizational and project management skills
* Proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines
* Plan and lead brainstorms with staff
* Excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational and follow-up skills a must.
* Ability to write interesting, creative, and effective press releases, media alerts and press materials
* Possess knowledge of popular culture
* Event planning experience
* Able to work independently and in a team environment- someone who is an enthusiastic team player and has the ability to get along with others
* Connections with influencers and tastemakers in New York, Miami and Los Angeles
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and media reps and use these relationships to develop new business opportunities
* Ensure positive communication with clientele and staff
* Create and implement proactive and targeted press campaigns
* Create publicity plans for new business opportunities
* Participate in meetings with new business clients
